Watching: Law and Order
Playing: nothing
Eating: wishing I had candy
Drinking: tea

Ok. This is probably going to make no sense. I'm reading Harry Potter, again, for the umpteenth time, but as always, with relish. Goblet of Fire.

I keep thinking how much....simpler....things would be if the Harry Potter world was real. Silly, I know, I mean, I'm 37 and sometimes, wishing, that you could wave a wand and fix things, like your glasses, make dinner, apperate without the need for gas to get where you need to, ride a freaking broom for crying out loud!

My fave characters are, in order.

1. Mrs. Weasley because she's crafty, caring, and reminds me of my own mom (believe me, she's an awesome Mom, even if I couldn't get away with much).

2. The twins. God, they are the most smart, the most devious, the most crafty pair of boys I wish I had as kids (sorry, I have none).

3. Dumbledore. This is probably the one character which reminds me so much of a family member that when Richard Harris died (by far, the one and only Dumbledore), I felt as if I lost my grandfather again. And the third time when J.K offed Dumbledore (how many tears can one person cry?) Wise, extremely intelligent, but not so lofty that he can interact personally with whomever he's with as if they are equals. Never taks down, children would flock to him, adults (most) respect, and when gone, leaves a terrible hole. a vacuum, behind. The twinkle in his eyes, the mischevous sense of humor, the ability to admit when he is wrong, and to admit he is not the smartest, and knows he doesn't know everything. My grandfather was like that.

I could slip so easily into that. I can hardly go a day without making some reference to HP in everyday life. Weird.
